The North Bay Trappers u18 AAA team was on a coach bus home from a 3-game weekend when a tire blew. In the freak event, the bus soon went up in flames shortly after the boys had been escorted off.
All personal belongings that they weren’t wearing was set ablaze and all they could do then was watch.
The following days made the next set of obstacles apparent for coaches, parents and specifically the players. With more than a third of their season still ahead, this could be seen as an opportunity for the team to come together.
When faced with adversity, there are always two options; back down, or show up. From tough times, tough people are molded.
